Across fifteen generations, the Fitzgerald family lived at the heart of the American South, from early pioneers carving new lives out of wilderness, to soldiers who fought in defining moments of the nation’s history, to ancestors whose lives were intertwined with Native American traditions. Their story is one of perseverance, sacrifice, and transformation.
The Poinsett line runs north to south and reaches just as far back. The name traces to Joel Roberts Poinsett, first U.S. Minister to Mexico and the botanist who introduced America to the flower that bears his name. But legacy is rarely built by the famous alone. It belongs just as much to the preachers, shipbuilders, and soldiers who never made the history books. Poinsett Publications exists to preserve those stories, one family at a time.
